Chengdu Open: Giron makes second round, knocks out seed Bublik

American Marcos Giron won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (6), 6-3 to move into the second round of the Chengdu Open at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Thursday night.

Giron, ranked No 64, will face Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech next.
