Spaniard Jaume Munar moved into the second round of the Chile Open by edging out Chilean wildcard Alejandro Tabilo 6-0, 6-7(4), 7-6(5) at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago on Monday night.
Munar, ranked No 66, will play top seed Lorenzo Musetti next.
