Medvedev reaches Beijing final with ruthless victory over Zverev
The Russian was close to his best as he set up a final against either Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner

Russian Daniil Medvedev, the second seed, advanced to the final of the China Open by defeating German Alexander Zverev, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 6-3 at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing on Tuesday.
Medvedev, ranked No 3, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, and Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 6 seed, next.
The Russian won against American Tommy Paul (6-2, 6-1), Australian Alex De Minaur (7-6 (3), 6-3) and Frenchman Ugo Humbert (6-4, 3-6, 6-1) in the previous rounds of the Beijing tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Zverev, ranked No 10, won against Argentinian Diego Schwartzman (6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-4), Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-1) and Chilean Nicolas Jarry (6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3).
