China Open: Zverev fights back to edge past Schwartzman and reach second round

Alexander Zverev recovered from a tight opening-set loss to edge out Argentinian Diego Schwartzman 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-4 and reach the second round of the China Open at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing.

The German is playing in his first tournament since winning his second title of the season at the Chengdu Open last week.

His win against Schwartzman in Beijing marks his fifth successive match win and he will take on Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the next round.
