Cincinnati Masters: Wawrinka edges out home hope Nakashima to reach second round

Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka beat American wildcard Brandon Nakashima 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Linder Tennis Family Center.

Wawrinka, ranked No 51, will play American Frances Tiafoe, the No 10 seed, next.
