German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, beat American Brandon Nakashima, the No 27 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Both of the players finished the match that was interrupted by a thunder on Monday.
Zverev, ranked No 3, will face Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 14 seed, at the end of the day.
