Cincinnati Masters: Humbert loses to a thriller against Thompson

Australian Jordan Thompson edged out Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 13 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4) to reach the second round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Tuesday.

Thompson, ranked No 32, will face Argentinian Sebastian Baez next.
