Italian Marco Cecchinato beat Russian Alexander Shevchenko 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag.
Cecchinato, ranked No 96, will play second seed Lorenzo Sonego next.
