Croatia Open: Cerundolo moves into semi-finals
Francisco Cerundolo edged out Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (2) on Thursday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan in the next round

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, edged out Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (2) to reach the last four of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Thursday.
Cerundolo, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan next.
The Argentinian won against Croat wildcard Matej Dodig (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Umag tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Sonego, ranked No 54, edged out Croat wildcard Mili Poljicak (6-2, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (9)) and beat Frenchman Alexandre Muller (7-5, 6-1).
