Dallas Open: Isner reaches quarter-finals

American John Isner, the No 5 seed, won against German Daniel Altmaier 6-3, 7-6 (1) to move into the quarter-finals of the Dallas Open at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Thursday night.

Isner, ranked No 39, will face Ecuadorian Emilio Gomez next.

In the previous round of the Dallas tournament, the 37-year-old American beat Chun-Hsin Tseng (7-6 (5), 7-6 (1)), his first victory in 2023.

Altmaier, ranked No 99, defeated American qualifier Zachary Svajda (6-2, 6-4).
