No 3 seed Ben Shelton moved into the quarter-finals of the Dallas Open by defeating Michael Mmoh 6-3, 6-3 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Thursday night.
Shelton, ranked No 16, will face the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 7 seed, and American lucky loser Denis Kudla next.
In the previous round of the Dallas tournament, Mmoh, ranked No 115, won against qualifier Emilio Nava (7-5, 6-2).
