Ecuadorian Emilio Gomez moved into the second round of the Delray Beach Open by winning against qualifier Tung-lin Wu 7-6 (3), 6-4 at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on Monday evening.

Gomez, ranked No 94, will face top seed Taylor Fritz next.
