Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed, won against American Marcos Giron, the No 5 seed, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Delray Beach Open at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 56, will play the winner of the match between Cameron Norrie and American Alex Michelsen, the No 3 seed, next.
The Serb defeated Croat Borna Gojo (6-4, 6-4) and Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (W/O) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous round of the Delray Beach tournament, Giron, ranked No 49, won against lucky loser Ethan Quinn (6-3, 6-4).
