American Alex Michelsen reached the second round of the Delray Beach Open by defeating Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-1, 6-2 at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Michelsen, ranked No 75, will play No 3 seed Tommy Paul next.
