European Open: Bublik eases past Barrere to move into the quarter-finals

Alexander Bublik won against Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-2 and will face French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the next round

Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 3 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the European Open by beating Frenchman Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-2 at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.

Bublik, ranked No 36, will play French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard next.

In the previous round of the Antwerp Open, Barrere, ranked No 72, won against Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (6-1, 7-6 (5)).
