European Open: Gaston edges past Navone in epic to make last eight
Hugo Gaston edged out Mariano Navone 6-4, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4) and will face either Alex De Minaur or Roberto Carballes Baena in the next round

Frenchman Hugo Gaston moved into the last eight of the European Open by edging out Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4) at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.
Gaston, ranked No 77, will face the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the top seed, and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena next.
The Frenchman won against Russian qualifier Alexey Vatutin (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Antwerp Open, Navone, ranked No 43, edged out Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (6)).
