Generali Open: Baez moves into semi-finals
Sebastian Baez beat Alex Molcan 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday and will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the top seed, and Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan in the next round

Argentinian Sebastian Baez won against Slovak Alex Molcan 6-4, 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Thursday.
Baez, ranked No 72, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the top seed, and Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan next.
In the previous rounds of the Kitzbuhel tournament, the 22-year-old Argentinian defeated Serb qualifier Hamad Medjedovic (6-4, 6-2) and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 6 seed (6-1, 6-2).
Molcan, ranked No 120, won against Frenchman Luca Van Assche (6-4, 6-3) and edged out Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 4 seed (4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5)) earlier in the tournament.
