Geneva Open: Zapata Miralles advances to second round

Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the No 7 seed, moved into the second round of the Geneva Open by defeating Ukrainian qualifier Vitaliy Sachko 6-2, 6-4 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday afternoon.

Zapata Miralles, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Croat qualifier Nino Serdarusic and Australian Christopher O’Connell next.
