Hall of Fame Open: McDonald eases past Billy Harris to reach last eight

American Mackenzie McDonald advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Open by winning against qualifier Billy Harris 6-3, 6-4 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum.
McDonald, ranked No 99, will play American wildcard Reilly Opelka next.
The American defeated Australian Rinky Hijikata, the No 8 seed (4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Newport tournament, Harris, ranked No 116, won against Canadian Gabriel Diallo (7-6 (4), 7-5).
