Serb Laslo Djere beat Argentinian Guido Pella 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open at Am Rothenbaum.
Djere, ranked No 57, will face the winner of the match between Slovak lucky loser Jozef Kovalik and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 3 seed, next.
The Serb won against Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3) in the previous round of the Hamburg tournament.
In the first round of the Hamburg tournament, Pella, ranked No 228, edged out Brazilian lucky loser Thiago Monteiro (6-3, 4-6, 6-4).
