Hamburg Open: Martinez knocks out Cerundolo to reach semi-finals
Pedro Martinez beat Francisco Cerundolo 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 and will play the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev and Zhizhen Zhang in the next round

Spaniard Pedro Martinez edged out Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 to move into the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center.
Martinez, ranked No 49, will play the winner of the match between German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, and Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 8 seed, next.
The Spaniard won against Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 6 seed (7-6 (4), 6-1) and edged out French qualifier Ugo Blanchet (6-4, 0-6, 7-5) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Cerundolo, ranked No 33, defeated lucky loser Francisco Comesana (7-5, 6-4) and German wildcard Maximilian Marterer (6-0, 6-2).
