German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, beat Serb Laslo Djere 7-5, 6-3 to win the Hamburg Open trophy at Am Rothenbaum on Sunday.
In the previous rounds of the Hamburg tournament, Zverev, ranked No 19, defeated Slovak Alex Molcan (6-0, 6-3), wildcard Maximilian Marterer (6-3, 7-5), Frenchman Luca Van Assche (6-3, 6-4) and Frenchman Arthur Fils (6-2, 6-4).
Djere, ranked No 57, beat Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3), Argentinian Guido Pella (6-2, 3-6, 6-3), Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-3) and Chinese Zhizhen Zhang (6-3, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
