Hangzhou Open: Carballes Baena stages comeback to reach quarter-finals
The Spaniard edged out Mitchell Krueger 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday

Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena edged out American lucky loser Mitchell Krueger 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Hangzhou Open at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center on Saturday.
Carballes Baena lost the opening set with a solitary break of his serve in the sixth game. He, however, recovered by clinching the second by converting a break point on Krueger’s serve.
In the decider, the American managed to save two match points before the Spaniard converted the third to advance.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 55, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 6 seed, and Italian Mattia Bellucci next.
In the previous round of the Hangzhou tournament, the Spaniard won against Frenchman Corentin Moutet (7-6 (6), 6-1).
