Cameron Norrie advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open by winning against Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 at the Victoria Park Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Norrie, ranked No 49, will face the winner of the match between Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 3 seed, and Japanese wildcard Kei Nishikori next.
In the previous round of the Hong Kong tournament, Cameron Norrie beat American Learner Tien (6-3, 7-5).
Sonego, ranked No 53, won against American Brandon Nakashima, the No 6 seed (7-6 (4), 6-3) during the first round of the Hong Kong tournament.
