Indian Wells: Auger-Aliassime makes third round

Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 31 seed, beat French qualifier Constant Lestienne 6-4, 6-1 to reach the third round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday evening.

Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between Italian Matteo Arnaldi and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, next.

In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Lestienne, ranked No 100, edged out American qualifier Denis Kudla (3-6, 6-2, 6-4).
