Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 9 seed, won against Belgian David Goffin 6-2, 6-2 to reach the third round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday.
De Minaur, ranked No 10, will face Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 21 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Goffin, ranked No 56, beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 7-5).
