Indian Wells: Humbert overcomes local wildcard Kypson

Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 14 seed, beat American wildcard Patrick Kypson 6-4, 6-4 to move into the third round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday evening.

Humbert, ranked No 14, will face the winner of the match between No 17 seed Tommy Paul and Alex Michelsen next.

In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Kypson, ranked No 151, won against qualifier Ethan Quinn (6-1, 7-6 (1)).
