Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild edged out Frenchman Alexandre Muller 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (6) to move into the second round of the Indian Wells Masters in California on Wednesday.
Seyboth Wild, ranked No 91, will play No 8 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas next.
