Indian Wells: Rublev downs Murray for spot in third round
Andrey Rublev defeated Andy Murray 7-6 (3), 6-1 on Friday night. He’ll face the winner of the match between American wildcard Brandon Nakashima and No 32 seed Jiri Lehecka in the next round

Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 5 seed, advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by defeating Andy Murray 7-6 (3), 6-1 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday night.
Rublev, ranked No 5, will play the winner of the match between American wildcard Brandon Nakashima and No 32 seed Jiri Lehecka next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Murray, ranked No 61, won against Belgian qualifier David Goffin (6-3, 6-2).
