Australian James Duckworth advanced to the second round of the Los Cabos Open by beating Finn Otto Virtanen 6-3, 6-0 at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Tuesday.

Duckworth, ranked No 123, will face German Dominik Koepfer, the No 7 seed, next.
