Qualifier Paul Jubb won against Australian qualifier Adam Walton 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club on Wednesday.
Jubb, ranked No 289, will play the winner of the match between American Ben Shelton, the top seed, and Australian Rinky Hijikata next.
Jubb beat German qualifier Maximilian Marterer (6-1, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Mallorca tournament, Walton, ranked No 107, defeated German Yannick Hanfmann (7-5, 6-2).
