Russian lucky loser Pavel Kotov reached the second round of the Mallorca Open by winning against Australian qualifier Li Tu 7-6 (4), 6-3 at Mallorca Country Club on Monday.
Kotov, ranked No 116, will face second seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina next.
