Dutchman Jesper de Jong won against Moroccan wildcard Elliot Benchetrit 7-5, 6-1 to move into the second round of the Marrakech Open at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Tuesday afternoon.

De Jong, ranked No 98, will play the winner of the match between Pole qualifier Kamil Majchrzak and Spaniard Jaume Munar, the No 6 seed, next.
