Marrakech Open: Kotov reaches quarter-finals
Pavel Kotov won against Flavio Cobolli 6-1, 7-6 (5) on Wednesday and will face the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere, the top seed, and Italian qualifier Fabio Fognini in the next round

Russian Pavel Kotov won against Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 8 seed, 6-1, 7-6 (5) to advance to the last eight of the Marrakech Open at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Wednesday.
Kotov, ranked No 68, will face the winner of the match between Serb Laslo Djere, the top seed, and Italian qualifier Fabio Fognini next.
The Russian defeated Moroccan wildcard Elliot Benchetrit (7-5, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Marrakech tournament, Cobolli, ranked No 63, won against Jordanian wildcard Abdullah Shelbayh (6-1, 6-4).
