Dane Holger Rune, the second seed, won against American qualifier Michael Mmoh 6-2, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Mexican Open at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday night.
Rune, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between American qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic and Australian Jordan Thompson next.
