Mexican Open: Tsitsipas sees off Safiullin threat to make second round
Stefanos Tsitsipas won against Roman Safiullin 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday night and will play Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli in the next round

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, advanced to the second round of the Mexican Open by beating Russian Roman Safiullin 6-3, 6-4 at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Tuesday night.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 12, will face Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli next.
