Miami Masters: Rublev advances to third round

Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 6 seed, reached the third round of the Miami Masters by defeating American J.J. Wolf 7-6 (3), 6-4 at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday.

Rublev, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 29 seed, and Frenchman Ugo Humbert next.

Wolf, ranked No 50, won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the Miami Open.

He is yet to win a match against a player ranked in the Top 10 – taking only one set in his five matches against those players, in a defeat against Stefanos Tsitsipas last year.
