Montpellier Open: Barrere knocks out Blanchet to reach second round
Gregoire Barrere beat Ugo Blanchet 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between Russian Alexander Shevchenko, the No 6 seed, and qualifier Dalibor Svrcina in the next round

Gregoire Barrere advanced to the second round of the Montpellier Open by beating qualifier Ugo Blanchet 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-2 at the Sud de France Arena.
Barrere, ranked No 104, will play the winner of the match between Russian Alexander Shevchenko, the No 6 seed, and qualifier Dalibor Svrcina next.
