Fritz makes quick work of Murray at Montreal Masters
Andy Murray loses his opening match at the Montreal Masters on Tuesday, falling to an in-form Taylor Fritz in the first round. Fritz is set for an all-American affair with Frances Tiafoe.

The marquee matchup of the first round at the National Bank Open proved to be nothing more than a straightforward affair, as Taylor Fritz erased Andy Murray 6-1, 6-3 on Tuesday night. Fritz needed only one hour and 27 minutes to advance.
The American, who made a run to the Wimbledon quarter-finals before falling to Rafael Nadal, held all eight of his service games while having to save just one break point. He broke Murray on four occasions, generating 12 break points in the process.

Fritz, ranked No 13, will face fellow American Frances Tiafoe on Wednesday.
