Montreal Masters: Ruud survives scare against Duckworth
The Norwegian will face the winner of the match between Sebastian Korda and No 9 seed Taylor Fritz in the next round

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 6 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Montreal Masters by beating Australian lucky loser James Duckworth 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-3 at Stade IGA on Thursday.
Ruud, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Sebastian Korda and No 9 seed Taylor Fritz next.
Duckworth, ranked No 80, won against American Marcos Giron (6-4, 6-1) in the previous round of the Rogers Cup.
