German wildcard Daniel Altmaier moved into the second round of the Munich Open by defeating qualifier Chun-Hsin Tseng 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Monday evening.
Altmaier, ranked No 68, will face German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, next.
