Munich Open: German teenager Dedura-Palomero nets win on Tour debut as Shapovalov retires
Diego Dedura-Palomero benefitted from the abandonment of Denis Shapovalov (7-6 (2), 3-0) on Tuesday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between Belgian Zizou Bergs and Kazakh qualifier Alexander Bublik in the next round

German lucky loser Diego Dedura-Palomero reached the second round of the Munich Open when Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 8 seed, retired on Tuesday afternoon at the MTTC Iphitos complex.
Deigo Dedura-Palomero led 7-6 (2), 3-0 when Shapovalov, ranked No 29, pulled out on Tuesday at the MTTC Iphitos complex.
The 17-year-old German will face the winner of the match between Belgian Zizou Bergs and Kazakh qualifier Alexander Bublik next.
