Munich Open: Shevchenko books spot in second round

Kazakh lucky loser Alexander Shevchenko advanced to the second round of the Munich Open by edging out Italian Flavio Cobolli 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-4 at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Tuesday afternoon.

Shevchenko, ranked No 104, will play Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 5 seed, next.
