Opelka overcomes Norrie, advances to Dallas quarter-finals
Reilly Opelka edged out Cameron Norrie in three sets on Thursday in Dallas. Opelka will face the winner of the match between No 3 seed Tommy Paul and qualifier Ethan Quinn.

Wild card Reilly Opelka edged out Cameron Norrie 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to advance to the last eight of the Dallas Open at the Ford Center at The Star on Thursday.
Opelka, ranked No 145, will next play the winner of the match between No 3 seed Tommy Paul and qualifier Ethan Quinn.
The American defeated Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (7-6 (3), 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Dallas tournament, Norrie — ranked No 63 — dismissed American Alex Michelsen, the No 7 seed (2-6, 7-6 (1), 6-1).
