Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 10 seed, advanced to the last 16 of Paris Masters by beating Chilean Alejandro Tabilo 6-3, 6-4 at the Accor Arena on Tuesday.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 11, will play Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo next.
The Greek won against Spanish lucky loser Roberto Carballes Baena (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Paris-Bercy tournament, Tabilo, ranked No 22, won against Portuguese Nuno Borges (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3).
