Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 5 seed, reached the second round of the Qatar Open by edging out Hungarian Marton Fucsovics 7-6 (7), 5-7, 6-4 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Tuesday evening.
Bautista Agut, ranked No 28, will play Australian Christopher O’Connell next.
