Dane Holger Rune, the second seed, beat wildcard Ryan Peniston 6-3, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Queen’s at Queen’s Club in London on Wednesday evening.
Rune, ranked No 6, will play Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 6 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 20-year-old Dane won against American Maxime Cressy (7-6 (4), 7-6 (3)).
Peniston, ranked No 265, defeated Frenchman Ugo Humbert (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Queen’s Championships.
