Rio Open: Galan reaches second round

Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan won against Argentinian Pedro Cachin 7-6 (4), 6-4 to reach the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday evening.

Galan, ranked No 88, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas, the No 7 seed, and Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry next.
