Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild edged out Chilean Alejandro Tabilo 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Monday night.
Seyboth Wild, ranked No 82, will play Spaniard Jaume Munar next.
