Shevchenko first player into Rio Open second round
Alexander Shevchenko made quick work of Felipe Meligeni on Monday in Rio de Janeiro. Shevchenko awaits either Alexander Zverev or Bu Yunchaokete in the second round.

Alexander Shevchenko reached the second round of the Rio Open by beating Brazilian wild card Felipe Meligeni Alves 6-4, 6-2 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Monday afternoon.
The Kazakh blasted 10 aces and broke his opponent a whopping six times in two sets.
Shevchenko, ranked No 103, will next play the winner of the match between top-seeded German Alexander Zverev and China’s Bu Yunchaokete.
